Simply put — I love taking photos.
Since birth, I have been in front of the camera.
My abuelo, Silvio Alava, was a New York-born photographer & journalist for Latin Beat Magazine who would do mini photoshoots with me in our home in Hawthorne, CA - this is where my love for photography came from. As I got older, I noticed that people (and their stories) intrigue me. I became a photographer to connect with the people of the world; to share their stories.

Asia is so much fun to work with! She captures exactly what you want and makes you feel like the Queen you are. She catches you in candid moments and makes you laugh along the way. I highly recommend her for boudoir, couples, and portraits!! She is amazing!

I had such a wonderful time working with Asia. This was my first studio shoot without props, so I honestly didn’t know what to do/how to pose. Asia made me feel so incredibly comfortable in our environment, she set the lights, put some music on, and just allowed me to be ME. She made me feel beautiful and it shows in the photos. Literally, a photo worth a thousand words.
She allowed me to choose between an outdoor setting or indoor, and she set up the rest. Asia is a LV local, and knows many great spots to shoot. I cannot wait for our next session with my family for my next maternity shoot. 10/10 would recommend Barfing Butterflies Media for your next shoot!
